Meet the Team at Fakenham Parish Church

The Rector of Fakenham Parish Church: The Reverend Adrian Bell
Adrian Bell

Adrian will have been Rector of Fakenham for eight years this year.

During his working life he has served in the dioceses of Canterbury and Lincoln having been ordained in Sheffield Cathedral.

Adrian is married to Marian and they have two grown up sons, Nicholas and James.  Adrian is a keen cook and has published two recipe compilations gathered from church people; he is also a dedicated gardener.

Reader: Linda Frost - linda@fakenhamparishchurch.org.uk
Linda Frost

Linda has been a reader since 1998 having been a member of Fakenham Parish Church for most of her life.

She is a former primary school teacher having taught in several Norfolk primary and first schools.

Linda is married to Michael. Linda is keen on sci-fi and loves 'messing about' on her computer, she loves cross-stitch and dressmaking and is an avid Norwich City supporter.

Elaine Burbidge has been a Reader at Fakenham Parish Church for longer than she cares to admit!

By profession a primary school teacher teaching all subjects across the curriculum but specialising in Geography, she has a deep interest in all God’s world and it’s people.

Hilary Palmer

Hilary has been part of life at St. Peter and St. Paul for nearly 30 years, having been in the Diocese all her life. 

She is married to Walter and they have two grown up daughters; Caroline and Elizabeth.  They also have a grandson, Oliver. 

Hilary has worked at Fakenham Junior School for 22 years and has been involved with the 2nd Fakenham (S.A.) Guides for 11 years and has helped with the 1st Fakenham Brownies for 15 years.

John Plume

John joined the Fakenham church team shortly after arriving in the area from Bedfordshire in June 2005. He is a keen chorister and sings in the church choir as well as two other choral groups.

He is also a keen coarse angler and struggles with his conscience on lovely sunny Sundays. John is married to Edna and they live in Whissonsett. They have two sons both of whom have flown the nest.

John became one of our Churchwardens in 2007 and is keen to oversee the planned changes to remodel the church in the coming years.

Pamela Thomas came to Fakenham 25 years ago with her husband Christopher, they started the heel bar in Oak Street.  She has two daughters Amanda, a nurse and Belinda who teaches. 

She has been treasurer for 5 years and among her interests are trying to learn the guitar and travelling. 

She spends time with her 4 lovely grandchildren who she is lucky enough to have living close by. 

Her ambition was to be tall but she never made it.

Amanda is married to Fred and has been for 4 years and has three children; the eldest is 3 years old and she also has twins of 5 months.  Amanda works as a practice nurse in Sheringham as well as helping out with office duties within the business her husband runs. 

Amanda was brought up in Fakenham where she attended the High School before leaving Norfolk to train as a nurse. She commenced her Reader training in 2006 and is looking forward to being able to utilise the many skills obtained through her professional and personal life and through the training in serving the Church.
