We publish a weekly 'podcast' and written commentary on issues affecting our community, both here in Fakenham and throughout the world.
.
  Sermons: Audio and Text
'Godcasting' has become one of the most popular elements of a 'new style' of church website. We have embraced this concept on our new website and offer here our sermons in text and audio format for you to experience in the comfort of your own home.
.
  Community Blog
Our blog is our 'interactive tool' to the community. Through our online blog we will explore a range of issues and provide you with the opportunity to respond with your thoughts and comments. We hope that this will become a place where people of our community, both locally and internationally, can come and express their points of view in a safe and secure environment.

  Articles and Editorials
Our articles and commentaries are offered to our online visitors as a way to explore different and perhaps fresh perspectives on what happens around us on a regular basis, both in church and within our communities.

  Online Photo Gallery
We have a range of photographs available to view on our Online Photo Gallery. If you wish, you may purchase copies - all proceeds will go directly to supporting our work within the local community.

Thought for the Week: 19th March 2008

Promoting the Christian Message Online

This week has been very chaotic because Easter is early, and the Fakenham Beacon the Church Magazine has had to go to print because of the Easter holidays and we are planning a Good Friday Workshop for our young people.

The Parish Office staff have been working hard to get all the Holy Week and Easter services ready and we are looking forward to an exciting time.

The clergy have been out in the parish visiting and taking home communion to those who can’t get to Church at Easter.

The one thing that has been very time consuming but enjoyable, has been the creation of the new Church website. During the last 3 months Daniel Gibbins, our Webmaster, and members of Ministry Team having working together to collate information for Daniel to use. It has been an exciting time

When we decided to renew our website the Church Council was very interested and gave Daniel every support and blessing in his work. It took time for people to understand the need for a website and how this would help the work of the Church.

My view has always been that we need to use every avenue possible to promote the Christian message and the work of the Church, and for people to access information and help.

Jesus taught his disciples by parables, and miracles and wonderful sayings and these are always helpful to every age but we need also to use what is available today.

In an age when we have access to every latest form of technology when even those in the most remote areas of the world can contact each other by computer and emails, having a website which is up date with the latest information is vital.

We know that Churches which use and value their website have growing congregations, and that the increasing number of people who are housebound in our country can have access to sermons and talks, study groups and learn about the work and ministry often Church. So you can leave messages for the clergy and ask for prayers. There are so many things that you will be able to do on our website.

These are early days; we won’t have everything right at the moment but on Easter Day, when we launch this new website, I hope that many people will feel closer to the Church community and especially closer Jesus Christ as we celebrate his Resurrection. This is a new day for us, a rebirth – it is exciting. Tell you friends and spread the news.

Adrian Bell
