The Fakenham Church Women’s Guild was formed in November 1958 with evening meetings. We have now changed these to afternoons and our year starts in September.
We meet every third Monday at 2.30pm in the Trinity Room at Fakenham Parish Church. We have a speaker and finish with a welcome cup of tea and biscuits.
To raise money to support different projects in the wider life of the church we have raffles and Bring and Buys. We also collect small change throughout the year for the Deep Sea Fisherman fund.
Some of the items we have bought with money raised are replacement cups and saucers for the church that are used on Sundays and for Thursday Market Day refreshments, and all special events in church. We bought a new cooker for the church kitchen and with the Mothers’ Union we helped to buy the Baby Changing Unit. We supplied the Memorial Book and Table. We also take part in the Flower Festival.
