Anyone can have a funeral service in Church and the collection is given to the charity of your choice.
The cost of a funeral in church for 2013 will be £300 which includes the clergy, church organist and heating.
There is no extra fee for a service cremation or burial following a service in church.
Collections at a funeral are always given to a charity chosen by the family and no deduction is made by the church.
The cost of a Cremation Service is now £160 plus clergy travel of £25. From January 1st 2013 all funeral fees are now payable to Fakenham PCC and the clergy part of the fees supports the income of the Diocesan Board of Finance which helps pay the clergy.

Also, the Church offers after funeral service catering at a cost of £100 which includes cakes and sandwiches suitable for the time of day. Contact your Funeral Director to arrange this.
There is a Memorial Book in church which is turned every month showing the names of those who have died in that month in years past. Anyone can have the name of a departed loved one added to this book whether or not the service took place in church. There is no charge, and you can either contact the Parish Office 01328 862268 or Pamela Thomas Tel: 01328 855219 who regularly updates the book.
Also we have a 4 year prayer cycle of those who have died in the parish, and names are mentioned on the prayer section of the weekly bulletin. Finally, the Parish Office sends out prayer cards to the nearest relative on the anniversary of the death of a loved one.
