We took the opportunity to record the service of Compline which took place on Good Friday. The ancient office of Compline derives its name from a Latin word meaning ‘completion’ (completorium). It is above all a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day, and on Good Friday takes on extra significance as we remember the day on which Christ was crucified.

We are looking to provide more recordings of our services and get to grips with our recording techniques so that the quality improves. In the meantime, though, this recording is 28 minutes long and we hope you enjoy it.
